Back-to-School Haul
Ahh! Its that time of the year again, where we call up our friends, hit the malls, and screenshot every outfit we see. Back to School shopping isn't just about buying new clothes for the upcoming semester , it gives you a chance to change up your look, discover new trends and see what's out there for you.When you know what you want, it will speak to you (trust me) .
Of course there are steps to back-to-school shopping (well for me at least) , Let's do this!
Find out what you're looking for :
The greatest way to start your BTS shopping is by doing a little research, try checking out some stores online, and if you're on a budget like I am, I gotcha girl. Move over Forever 21 & Urban outfitters there are new stores in town (I'll list a bunch of online stores at the bottom).
Pair up your essentials :
Find out what you really need and separate it from the things that you want, your essentials can be: jeans, sweaters, graphic tops, boots( or sneakers), and if you just can't STAND jeans like me, pick out some comfy leggings or jeggings . Then your "wants" can be things like dresses, rompers, or some cool accessories. Make sure you don't leave out the things you want, what I'm trying to say is balance out between everything and make sure you got it all together ;)
Start putting together outfits:
When I go shopping or when I'm shopping online, I just put together outfits in my head to make it seem easier, like hey this black crop top would go really good with this light camo jacket or hey this emerald blazer looks really good with this black mini skirt , and when you're in doubt call up your home girls, or just ask mama cause she always knows best ( lol most of the time).Have fun!
It really isn't a competition, shopping should be fun! It is in fact a form of self expression, you know what they say; "life's too short to wear boring clothes." Don't be afraid to mix and match, find what you love! Sometimes, all you need is a little inspiration and you'll do just fine on your own.
